When Robbie Spencer speaks through his styling, I listen with my eyes very intricately, devouring every intentional nuance he so provocatively layers on. My eyes can see how his layering of lace fabric over the face, accessories and headpieces pop in a textural way, without pulling too much attention from what the main point of focus is, creating wonderful play between the hair, makeup and scenery. His styling is progressive, constantly pushing boundaries in how he mixes and matches jewelry, props, fabrics and headpieces. Of course Richard Burbridge is key to this manifesto and stylist’s wet dream. Behold, lobster head lives! Dixie Rose
