Jonathan’s film could be perceived as an exercise where the conscious and subconscious mind interact, in reverence to one another. They cannot exist without each other. But you must start from the end to work your way to the beginning. Dixie Rose

We are living in times where nature has become detrimental to our mental/physical health and well-being. The lack-there-of, in an urban setting such as NYC shows us we must go to it for healing, peace and freeing of the mind. In these images I see a hybrid life form morphing from man to plant in constant flux, a visual means of necessary balance. But that is just my imagination. Jefta is a 24-year-old artist/photographer from Holland. Dixie Rose

Adam Fuss’s “Home and the World” 2010 Series, he explores themes of life, death and transcendence, he explains that “in order for any photographic technique to work, it should be personalized and transfigured into a greater metaphor, engaging processes that take place in the natural world”. He’s not interested in showing what can be seen at face value, but the unseen. Born in London in 1961, he’s been a New Yorker since 1982. The above piece is a gelatin silver print photogram.
