Marc Quinn is the British sculptor responsible for executing the largest solid 18K gold sculpture made since ancient Egypt. Indulge in his Kate Moss sculpture named “Siren” (costs nearly $3 million in USD to make) as part of the “Statuephilia” exhibit at the British Museum this month. Quinn is well known in his element for his piece titled “Self” (1991), a frozen sculpture of his head made of 9.5 pints of his own blood, which was gathered for a period of five months. He is also to blame for converting many anti-modern art-Kate Moss stalkers into new born modern art enthusiasts.
