South Korean artist Choi Xoo Ang’s metaphorical painted, polymer clay figures are personal, literal and immediate.  They symbolize abuse in Korea.  If  art is not relevant, in response to the society we live in,  to some it may serve as meaningless.  But even when someone claims something as not having any meaning, to others, nothing is always something or an effect from a cause.   Dixie Rose

SUN-MI-AHN

Introspective Korean photographer, Sun Mi Ahn, evokes poetic innocence, a subtle nostalgia in her surreal-self portraiture. In these you can also romanticize the power and beauty of nature over man, enveloping her whole being, becoming one with la naturaleza . The stillness in these bring forth a gratifying peace.  Dixie Rose
