MICHELLE BLADE written by Dixie Rosa Fernandez

California native Michelle Blade ‘s paintings, sculptures and social practice are metaphorically charged with her passion for the human condition and the natural world.  Her acrylic ink on paper and oil on panel evoke a transcendent experience, magical explorations of natural phenomena in her renderings of explosions, fireworks and piercing light.  She is interested in investigating the deterioration of  the malposition of a  perfect magical place. Her paintings resonate Jon J. Muth’s illustrations in DC Comics/Vertigo The Complete Moonshadow written and created by John Marc DeMatteis. Her work is haunting, mesmerizing, cosmically beautiful. Check out her website and learn about her Eternal Summer project where she day by day documents via photography. Dixie
